Terms and Conditions

Amalfii Heating Service Plan Agreement

Compiled July 2024 by K Brighton (Director) and which will be reviewed annually.

  1. Amalfii Heating means: Amalfii Heating (South Midlands) Limited and any authorised representative within it.
  2. Service plan holder or customer means: the person who signed this agreement or their authorised representative
  3. This agreement is between Amalfii Heating and the Service plan holder
  4. Covered address: means the address where the appliance(s) are located.
  5. The purpose of this agreement is that in return for a regular monthly payment, Amalfii Heating will, within reasonable time, inspect and service the covered appliance (s)

We, at Amalfii Heating understand that terms and conditions can be difficult to understand due to how they are written, so we have tried to keep our service plans terms and conditions simple and clear so you know what is and what isn't covered.

1. Scope of contract
  1. 1.1 An initial service and inspection prior to the commencement of the service plan is not required.
  2. 1.2 When referring to ‘We’ this refers to Amalfii Heating
  3. 1.3 These plans are a service only contract and is not an insurance policy. Therefore, Amalfii Heating is not regulated by the FCA.
  4. 1.4 These plans are for domestic boilers, gas appliances and air source heat pumps only.
  5. 1.5 Our services will be performed by fully qualified and Gas Safe registered engineers in line with manufactures instructions.
2. Our Service Plans

2.1 Annual Domestic Gas Boiler Service Plan

This plan costs £6.99 per month including vat, but this can be subject to change from time to time, as decided by Amalfii Heating and any such increase will be notified to the customer by Amalfii Heating before it becomes payable.

The service will be arranged at a time and date convenient to you and in the month of your contract renewal unless otherwise arranged with the service plan holder beforehand.

This plan includes:

  1. A standard annual inspection and service of a single natural gas boiler, located in the service plan holder's own property.
  2. Carbon monoxide monitors and smoke alarms will be tested to ensure they are working correctly. Should either of these be absent from the property, after discussion and agreement with the customer, we can provide an alarm from van stock at the customers cost, however, we will not charge for fitting of the devise.
  3. Gas meter checks and gas tightness tests will be carried out to ensure there are no gas leaks within the property.
  4. A visual inspection of radiators and hot water cylinders for leaks and defects within the property.
  5. Any repairs/defective parts discovered either during the service or throughout the contract year due to breakdown, will be discussed with the service plan holder, quoted for and on acceptance of the quote, invoiced separately.
  6. The service plan holder shall receive a 15% discount on labour (not parts) costs of any repair, found during service or on breakdowns throughout the contracted time. The 15% only applies to repairs on the boiler covered by the plan.
  7. Service certificates will be provided by email.
  8. Yearly reminders will be sent by email.
  9. Boilers NOT covered : Electric, LPG or Oil

2.2 Annual gas boiler and gas fire service plan

This plan costs £9.99 per month including vat, but this can be subject to change from time to time, as decided by Amalfii Heating and any such increase will be notified to the customer by Amalfii Heating before it becomes payable. The service will be arranged at a time and date convenient to you and in the month of your contract renewal unless otherwise arranged with the service plan holder beforehand. As per 2.1,

This plan includes:

  1. a standard annual inspection and service of a single boiler and single gas fire in the same property on the same visit. Extra appliances can be quoted for and additional monthly cost incurred in agreement with the customer.
  2. Carbon monoxide monitors and smoke alarms will be tested to ensure they are working correctly. Should either of these be absent from the property, after discussion and agreement with the customer we can provide an alarm from van stock at the customers cost, however, we will not charge for fitting of the devise.
  3. Any repairs/defective parts discovered either during the service or throughout the contract year due to breakdown, will be discussed between engineer and the service plan holder, quoted for and on acceptance of the quote, invoiced separately.
  4. The service plan holder shall receive a 15% discount on labour costs (not parts) of any repair found on either boiler or gas fire during service or on breakdowns throughout the year.
  5. Appliance service paperwork provided by email.
  6. Yearly reminders will be sent by email.

2.3 Landlord Gas Safety Inspection and Boiler Service Plan

At a cost of £7.99 per month including vat (per boiler per property, multiple boilers or multiple properties require quotation) This can be subject to change from time to time, as decided by Amalfii Heating and any such increase will be notified to the customer by Amalfii Heating before it becomes payable.

The inspection and service will be arranged at a time and date convenient to the service plan holder and tenant if in residence, in the month of your contract renewal unless otherwise arranged with the service plan holder beforehand. Amalfii heating will endeavour to oversee inspection dates but overall responsibility lies with the Landlord.

This plan includes:

  1. an annual gas safety inspection of all gas appliances within the property and which includes the service of a single boiler Carbon monoxide monitors and smoke alarms will be tested.
  2. Gas meter check and test Any repairs/parts required will be discussed with the service plan holder and quoted for and invoiced separately. The service plan holder shall receive a 15% discount on labour (not parts) costs of any repair found during service or on breakdowns throughout the year.
  3. NB It is a legal requirement for Landlords to provide both carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. Should either of these be absent from the property, after discussion and agreement with the Landlord, we can provide the appropriate devise/s from van stock at the customers cost, however, we will not charge for fitting of the devise/s.
  4. Inspection certification provided and sent via email.
  5. Yearly reminders will be sent to the Landlord via email.

2.4 Air Source Heat Pump (Basic Service)

At a cost of £14.99 per month including vat but this can be subject to change from time to time, as decided by Amalfii Heating and any such increase will be notified to the customer by Amalfii Heating before it becomes payable. The service will be arranged at a time and date convenient to you and in the month of your contract renewal unless otherwise arranged with the service plan holder beforehand. The basic service, which can take up to 2 hours in duration

This plan includes:

  1. Checking the outdoor unit
  2. Check antifreeze levels
  3. Clean filter
  4. Check and clean fans
  5. Removal of trapped hair
  6. Pressures checked
  7. Check flow rate and adjust if necessary
  8. Check and optimise controller settings
  9. Production of customer paperwork
  10. Yearly reminders will be sent via email.

Any repairs/defective parts discovered either during the service or throughout the contract year due to breakdown, will be discussed between engineer and the service plan holder, quoted for and on acceptance of the quote, repaired and invoiced separately. The service plan holder shall receive a 15% discount on labour costs (but not parts) of any repair found during service or on breakdowns throughout the year.

2.5 Air Source Heat Pump And System Service Plan

This service plan costs £17.99 per month including vat but this can be subject to change from time to time, as decided by Amalfii Heating and any such increase will be notified to the customer by Amalfii Heating before it becomes payable. The service will be arranged at a time and date convenient to you and in the month of your contract renewal unless otherwise arranged with the service plan holder beforehand.

This plan includes:

  1. Annual Heat Pump Service (as per basic service)
  2. Check Immersion heater function
  3. Clean evaporator fans and comb straight
  4. Check insulation
  5. Check expansion vessel, pressure and air unit
  6. Check for leaks of water and refrigerant
  7. Service hot water cylinder, testing correct operation of all safety components
  8. Check electrical supply, condition and operation
  9. Check refrigerant pressures and heatline temperatures
  10. Check for fault codes on control unit
  11. Produce customer paperwork

Any repairs/defective parts discovered either during the service or throughout the contract year due to breakdown, will be discussed between engineer and the service plan holder, quoted for and on acceptance of the quote, repaired and invoiced separately. The service plan holder shall receive a 15% discount on labour costs (but not parts) of any repair found during the service or on breakdowns throughout the contract year. Yearly reminders will be sent by email

3. Period, Renewal and Payment Contract
  1. 3.1 The service plan contract is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of the first direct debit payment taken.
  2. 3.2 The service plan contract will be automatically renewed into a rolling monthly contract unless instructed by the customer to cancel. The customer must give as much notice as possible before the renewal date.
  3. 3.3 Amalfii Heating reserve the right to cancel the service plan agreement without giving reason
  4. 3.4 In the event of non-payment of the direct debit, the service plan will be suspended until the account is brought up to date and no further work will be carried out.
  5. 3.5 The service plan agreement will be cancelled if the customer misses 3 consecutive payments without any contact.
  6. 3.6 If a service plan has been cancelled part way through the contract year, we reserve the right to charge for any service or repair we have carried out, at our standard rate, minus the total of any debit payments made.
  7. 3.7 Cooling off period: The customer is entitled to a full refund within 14 days of signing the contract. Any service carried out during this time will be charged at our standard rate.
  8. 3.8 The company reserves the right to refuse, start or cease to complete scheduled or contracted work with immediate effect, where there is a breakdown of trust or communication, where it feels its staff are physically/verbally threatened or where personal safety is compromised.
  9. 3.9 These terms and conditions do not affect the Customers statutory rights. These terms and conditions will be reviewed annually.
  10. 4.0 Amalfii Heating will use any personal data only in accordance with our data protection policy
  11. 4.1 By consenting to join our service plan, you agree to the above terms and conditions.
